ARTSPACE ARTIST
Wendy Havard - 30 April to 26June 2011
Wendy Havard is a Melbourne artist who enjoys working in a number of styles and mediums.
Wendy spent six years from 2000-2006 learning tonal oil painting and impressionism from Peter Smales and then went on to study pastel with Nell Frysteen (2005-2006).
Much of Wendy’s inspiration comes from being in and observing nature. In an attempt to understand and interpret the natural environment and our place within it, she explores different styles and concepts. She also enjoys bringing the expressive nature of animals to the viewer with her realistic animal portraits. Wendy hopes that the viewer will enjoy and bring their own unique experiences and interpretations to the artworks she produces.
